Reads the raw scale weight from a Stamps.com 5 lb. scale (the free one you get as a new customer) in real time with auto-detection of attached devices. May work with other versions as well, but I cannot confirm as I do not have one available (hint).

  • Does not work with Stamps.com scale model 510. Free software for the 510 scale is at : www.vadimtabakman.com/stampscom-scale-tool-1.aspx
  • Tricky to install but works - and it's free, so it gets 4 stars (if it were a paid version I'd give it 2). To install, you must extract the files out of the zip folder, then use the EXE file (copy to your start menu if you don't want to search for it). I purchased another program when I left Stamps.com (USB scale PC program) which works but doesn't port to a new computer, so I am not willing to pay twice. I got a few errors when running this file - first because I hadn't extracted from the zip file, 2nd because I needed to turn off the device, then turn back on. Also, there is a bit of a delay, but otherwise works just fine with my 5 lb model 510 scale.
  • Hi all - this program is excellent - does the trick, easily able to weigh packages up to the 5 lb limit with the stamps dot com USB electronic scale. A little tricky to install. My first attempt failed, similar to some of the negative reviews. However, after reading the positive reviews, I kept at it. I decided to try a different computer. both have windows 7. The second computer worked GREAT, after I discovered that the file I needed was in the "downloads" folder, and that you have to click on that application file when you want to use the scale. I was easily able to add a short cut to my desktop. Walla, easy and works great. I went back to my old computer and tried again. Still no work. So, I uninstalled the original Stamps.com software, reinstalled the "raw Scale" software, and walla, it now works great on both computers. Good luck. Don't give up. By the way, it never actually said it found the device, the weight window just pops up when you click on the application file, or in my case the shortcut I put on the desktop. Hope this helps. • After I unzip the downloaded package, I see one .EXE and .DLL file. If I try to run the .EXE, I get an error saying that the .DLL can't be found. So, I'm guessing that the .DLL has to reside in a .DLL library. The question is: which one? 'Any ideas? I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit).
  • Sadly it didn't work with my scale. Scale was just received Feb. 2013 (label on bottom says: batch 05-01). I wish it did work. Good luck with your development.
